Our latest educational school trip was to York, with long standing customer Kirkham Grammar School Juniors. With only 2 days to visit the sights of historic York we had to organise a exciting jam-packed educational schedule.

After an 8am school pick up we arrived at the hostel in York at around 10. All the students were understandably excited. Bunks allocated, we set out for lunch in the local park.

Lunch enjoyed, we set off to the Jorvick Dig where the students got to experience what its like to be a real archeologist. Then to the famous Jorkic Viking Centre to discover the Viking history of 10th Century York.

A well earned stop for pizza and ice-cream was next on the agenda. After that onto the scary and spooky ghost walk around the walls, visiting the most haunted spots in the city.

Educational School Trip

York Minster was top of the itinerary for Saturday. Students enjoyed great views over the city from the beautiful York walls, were enthralled by the architecture and grandeur of the Minster and loved the Dragon treasure hunt.

Everyone in the party was very excited about our next stop, the York Chocolate Story!  Included a fantastic mix of history, interactive attractions and of course, chocolate samples for all to enjoy.

With full bellies we departed to our final destination, the National Railway Museum to explore the trains past present and future and get a ride on a miniature steam engine.
